Hardeeville Highlights
Hardeeville, SC is growing by leaps and bounds! The city is hard at work managing the growth and planning for commercial development and population expansion. Here is a snapshot of a few projects in the works:
Site development plans have been approved by the City of Hardeeville for the construction of a new YMCA facility at 11010 East Argent Parkway. Plans incorporate two building phases for a total of 53,400 square feet as well as two multi-purpose fields and a future water park. The finished facility will house childcare services, wellness services and a six-lane pool.

Each YMCA location operates as its own nonprofit organization. No date has yet been provided for the opening of the Hardeeville YMCA location.
HARDEE STATION (BUC-EE’S)
The Hardeeville City Council recently gave the go ahead for a 46.2 acre development project located at Exit 8 between Highway 17, US-278 and I-95. (The widening of I-95 and the installation of a light at Highway 17 and US 278 are slated for completion by 2028.) The project, called Hardee Station, will be anchored by Buc-ee’s, a travel center chain established throughout Texas now expanding through the Southeast. The Buc-ee’s chain is known for its beaver mascot and popular eats – breakfast tacos, jalapeno cheddar koloches, brisket, fudge, cherry sours and fresh jerky.
The plans for Hardee Station also call for walking and cycling trails, dog walking area and electric vehicle charging stations. The project is poised to be an economic driver for the community, creating approximately 200 jobs ranging from entry level to managerial roles, boosting the local job market and providing dependable, sustainable wages. Project completion is scheduled for 2028.

Location, location, location. 880 acres, just south of Highway 17 and I-95 in close proximity to Savannah airport, the port of Savannah and the SCX railroad, is the setting for SALT (South Atlantic Logistics Terminal). This site will house warehouses and industrial space, offering new economic development opportunities for the City of Hardeeville and Jasper County. SALT will be situated in the “Corridor of Opportunity” off the yet-to-be-built Exit 3 on I-95 in Hardeeville, SC, just a hop, skip and a jump (three miles) from Buc-cee’s and Hardee Station, which is slated for completion in 2028.
Water and sewer construction will begin January 2025 and will take approximately 10-12 months to complete. Soon after, construction ill begin on more than a dozen warehouses.
