Lowcountry 4th of July Celebrations

Who doesn’t love to celebrate the 4th by watching a fireworks display? Here in the Lowcountry, you’ll have to decide where you want to celebrate – Hilton Head Island? Bluffton? Beaufort? To make your choice just a little more difficult, you can throw Savannah and Tybee Island, GA in the mix.

 Here is a quick rundown on the local 4th of July celebrations to help you decide.

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, SC

HarbourFest at Shelter Cove Harbour & Marina 

Shelter Cove hosts a weekly celebration every Tuesday during the summer with arts & crafts, kids’ activities, live music and entertainment with singer/songwriter Shannon Tanner and beloved Cappy the Clown. There will be no show on Tuesday, July 1, instead the fireworks will be held on Friday, July 4, 2025. The show starts when the sky is dark. 

Please note that no drones are allowed during fireworks show. A shuttle service is available for the 4th of July celebration to alleviate some of the traffic congestion.

Harbour Town, Sea Pines 

Fireworks will light up the sky over the iconic Harbour Town Lighthouse and Calibogue Sound at approximately 9PM on Friday, July 4. 2025. There will be plenty of food vendors and live music on hand making Harbour Town the perfect place to celebrate with family and friends.

TOWN OF BLUFFTON, SC 

Bluffton will kick off an Independence Day celebration on July 3, 2025 with a pre-party at Martin Family and Dubois Parks from 5-9PM. There will be plenty of food, fun and games for all. The Marine Corps “Dirty Boots” Brass Band will provide a dose of patriotic entertainment from 6-7PM.  Fireworks will be launched from a barge in the May River at 9 PM.

BEAUFORT, SC

The Sands Beach, Port Royal, SC will host an Independence Day celebration on Friday, July 4, 2025. A variety of food vendors will be on hand along with live entertainment provided by the U.S. Marine Corps Band. The fireworks begin at dusk.

SAVANNAH, GA 

The fireworks celebration will take place at Savannah Riverfront at approximately 9:30 PM. The show will be launched from a barged in the Savannah River with the Savannah Convention Center serving as a backdrop. Waterfront restaurants will be offering food and drink specials. They’ll be plenty to see and do at the Waterfront in Savannah.

TYBEE ISLAND, GA

Staged on the Tybee Island Pier around 9:15 PM, the fireworks will be visible from the eastern beaches. Local restaurants will be offering dining and drink specials. Kick back on the beach and enjoy the show.
